Great for my needs!! Thanks Pride & Spinlife!
Reviewer: Michael H. from Wilsonville, OR
End User Desc: 51 year old Male with Meniere's Disease (Balance Disorder). Doesn't always require a Power Chair, but Power Chair expands his life.

Strengths: This Power Chair is big enough to be stable and powerful enough for my needs AND it comes apart into 4 pieces (Heaviest is about 35lbs.) and fits nicely into the trunk of a car for easy transportation! Has plenty of power and a great battery life! A rear basket and a cup holder can also be easily added! Great 'Portable Power Chair'!!

Weaknesses: I really haven't found any!! It DOES take a little practice steering with a 'Joy Stick' though!! It's best to follow the instructions and practice on an open, flat surface for awhile before taking on the 'Open Road'!!

The Go-Chair is great for moving around on flat surfaces.
Reviewer: John A. from Canton, MI (caregiver)
End User Desc: We bought the Go-Chair for my wife. She is 63 and is suffering with degenerative arthritis which makes it difficult for her to walk.

Strengths: The Go-Chair is easy to transport in our vehicle, whether as a unit or breaking it down into its assemblies. Assembly and disassembly is a breeze. It manuevers extremely well in tight areas, and is very easy to operate and maintain.

Weaknesses: The only problem we have encountered has been ground clearance. Trying to move from the street up a slight incline of a driveway, the chair got hung up. We bought it to take on a cruise and it worked very well on board ship.

small, efficient and handles with ease.
Reviewer: Valerie F. from Mesa, AZ
End User Desc: 53 yo native american with neurophy, a disease of the nervous system. Able to walk with a walker but tiring.

Strengths: This power wheelchair is sturdy and comfortable. Variable speeds with excellent turning radius. I can turn around in the aisles of any store. Husband is 68 and has no problem assembling or disambling power wheelchair for travel, which we do almost daily. This is our first power wheel chair and VERY SATISFIED with this outstanding product. We go to Las Vegas 3-4 times a year (mostly for our pool tournaments) and the last time I was able to "wheel" myself into many different casinos on the strip. Recharging my battery at night and next day, "on the road again". We would highly recommend this moderately priced product to any first time buyers or to those looking for a replacement power wheelchair.

Weaknesses: Arms of the chair should be able to fold down flat like the back support does for travel.

Weaknesses: The only thing that might be considered a weakness would be going up inclines and the low ground clearence, however, it is fine and performs the way I require. If I required something different, I would have purchased a larger unit.

Perfect for traveling.
Reviewer: Bonnie G. from Tempe, AZ
End User Desc: 55 year old Female with rare progressive neurological disease that effects walking and balance.

Strengths: It comes apart and so can be put into any car trunk or back of SUV. Easy to transport on planes.

Weaknesses: Limited range. Must recharge more often than my full size chair. Seat is not as comfortable as my full size chair. Seatback position does not adjust. Although it does come apart, it is still too heavy for me to disassemble and reassemble alone, or lift into the care. If you have a companion or caregiver who can help you, no problem.

Reviewer: John E. from Decauter, GA
End User Desc:

Strengths: (1) LIGHTWEIGHT. Airline personnel could not believe how easy it was to disassemble the Go-Chair, and how light the parts were. They had never seen an electric wheelchair that was so easy for everyone to move around. And this includes Heathrow Airport, the busiest airport in the world. (2) SOLID TIRES. While producing a somewhat rougher ride and missing out on some traction, the Go-Chair's tires were extremely durable for outside use (and in Europe, I was as far from my home as I had ever been). Given the product's size and maneuverability, I can't imagine how often the tires would have been punctured had they been inflatable. (3) INTUITIVE CONTROLS. Since the chair arrived two days before my trip, the need for it to run easily and without complication was obviously essential, and the Go-Chair clearly met the criteria. (4) LOW COST. For those who have been involved in purchasing mobility products, you can appreciate that the price of this product was dramatically less than anything I have used before. All in all, the Go-Chair gave me an unprecedented opportunity to share in my family's vacation, including getting in the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Needle in London.

Weaknesses: The major challenge in terms of how I used the product, would be the relatively short battery life per each charge. I was used to a traditional scooter battery set up, and usually had to park as much as possible as well as frequently needing to be pushed back to the hotel after spending an afternoon and evening out. Being more familiar with the product at this point, I would have ordered an extra battery in order to have a second charged battery pack which would have resolved this issue. Another challenge was not to unnecessarily push the stability capabilities of the Go-Chair. not all places and all countries have ramps and other apparatus as gently sloped as the ADA requirements in the states.

light, portable chair at a reasonable price
Reviewer: Paul A. from Milpitas, CA (caregiver)
End User Desc: My mother is 84, and has had multiple strokes. Her walking ability is limited. She currently uses a walker, but the Go-chair has helped her mobility.

Strengths: Strengths compared to other chairs: 1. Portable 2. smaller turning radius. 3. Priced competitively 4. similar controller to higher end chairs 5. good for lighter people

Weaknesses: Weaknesses: 1. Control symbols are not clear to an older person. It is better to have symbol & "written" control. Like "On/Off" "faster/slower" "horn" 2. Power charging plug is difficult to use especially for someone with limited mobility. 3. The Go-chair needs a larger basket attachment. We have only had the Go-chair for a couple of months. Hopefully, maintenance & repair will not be a problem.

The Go Chair is an excellent way to be able to move around anywhere.
Reviewer: Donna A. from Canada
End User Desc: I'm a woman in my late 50's and have suffered from MS for the last 16 years. I now need to use powered wheelchair all of the time.

Strengths: It's very comfortable. It turns 360 degrees very easily which is useful in tight places. It's easy to take apart, compact and easy to stow. Both arms lift up which makes it easier to get up to a table and to get on and off of it. It has a good speed for mall shopping. It runs quietly.

Weaknesses: Lighter would always be an asset. Foot rest flops down too easily and someitmes gets in the way when you need to be close to a counter.

Seat Depth1
Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg.

Back Height2
Measured from the seat base to the top of the chair back. Power wheelchair riders need upper back support, particularly for the moment of initial acceleration.

Hanger Angle3
Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the electric power wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular.

Seat Width4
Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant.

Front Seat to Floor5
Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Electric power wheelchairs are almost never foot-propelled by the user - so excluding the additional two inch footrest height for propelling is very rare.
