End User Desc: I have used this brand cushion since 1998. It keeps its form, texture, size exceedingly well. After 10 years it still looks new.Cost went up.
Strengths: It is durable. It is light enough to transport and use on other chairs. The size is great, color. It helps maintain posture and erect siting. Your back and hips are kept in allignment due to it construction.
Weaknesses: It is too costly for most seniors. The three cushions I bought recently were twice what I paid in 1999. I was introduced to cushion by the Rehab therapists at Mount Saint Vincent, Seattle. Thank You.

End User Desc: My mother, an 85-year-old woman with advanced Alzheimer's. In wheelchair 6+ hours/day.
Strengths: Over the past few months Mom has taken to leaning forward so far as to put her head in her lap. Since she broke her coccyx (tail) bone years ago I thought maybe her wheelchair cushion had worn out and she was trying to take weight off her "tail". This cushion is molded with a depression for the rear and the legs, so I thought it might be more comfortable than the flat one in use. So far she is sitting up a lot more so I think it is helping. Here is the problem (my fault). I needed an 18 X 16 cushion but I ordered 16 X 18 by mistake. Dimensions are width X depth. There is a big white nametag label on the bottom so the first thing I did was write Mom's name on it before I took the cushion to the nursing home. Which is when I discovered it was the wrong size. Couldn't return it due to the writing. About all I could have done was spend another $49.95 on another cover before returning. But Mom is not very wide and it seemed that the cushion would work out anyway. EXCEPT - the nursing home staff keeps turning the cushion sideways to fit the chair better, so all the indentations are going the wrong way, which I imagine makes it very uncomfortable to sit on. One of us has had to go over every day for two weeks to get them to lift her up so we could turn the cushion around. I think the instructions are starting to take so I'm holding off on buying another one for a little longer.
Weaknesses: It's expensive. It's just a big chunk of molded foam, no gel or anything. But the options are very limited in this price range. Extra covers are expensive, too.

End User Desc: This is a great cushion when it can be bought for a reduced price. The only thing is, I have to replace it every 2-3 months becaue it breaks down.
Strengths: The product is great when it is new, but it flattens out and looses it's integrity in about 1/6th of it's warranty. I have not tried to have any of them replaced, but I still have 3 or 4 still left that I rotate to.
Weaknesses: I weigh about 340#, paralyzed on left side and can not stand. I am either in bed or a wheelchair all the time and the cushion only lasts about 3 months beforee it starts breaking down.

End User Desc: I am 73yrs. old, paralyzed on complete left side and can not stand at all.
Strengths: I am able to set in my power chair all day until it starts to break down. That is why I keep buying it.
Weaknesses: The weakness is the fact it will break down after about 3 months and flatten out so I can't set on it no longer than about 2 hours at a time. This is about the 9th. cushion I have purchased.

End User Desc:
Strengths: very good insulation on the pad. very comfortable. i like the cover because it is removable. i really like the rigidsizer adds a lot of support, raising you higher in the chair. makes back pain less.
Weaknesses: what i find is the waterproof aspect of the cover is uncomfortable, you tend to sweat on your under side of your thighs do to the backing on the cover. takes place when you have shorts on. need to be a wicking type cover to disipate your sweat. it tends to make me itch. i put a small towel over the seat to compensate.
