Strengths: I feel this wheelchair is very well made,as well and about the same as any other chair I have seen or ridden in at the hospital or shopping centers.It is nice looking and is comfortable.
Weaknesses: It's a basic wheelchair, it does what it is supposed to do,no weaknesses to speak of. If I had it to do over again I would order it with removable armrest, it makes a great computer chair also,but the armrest get in the way. A horn might be nice!

Weaknesses: It is heavy, as are most base models. It's not something my wife or someone not fit would be able to get inot and out of the back of the SUV. That needs to be considered by someone buying this chair. Who's going to get it in and out of the vehichle?

Strengths: it is a very confortable chair and like the pocket on back of seat. i can move it alone and can even get it up ramps by myself. very pleased with it.
Weaknesses: husband redid push handles as he didn't like leaning over to push it. raised them and moved them back some as he was hitting his toes on steel bars underneath. also helps me to push it if i feel i want to get out and walk a little while.

This is a really great product for short-term use, but may be a little uncomfortable for long-term use. (Although I was using it on city blocks which are a little rougher than average use). Overall it is a great wheelchair for the price. Well-made. Would definitely recommend!
Weaknesses: I got this with the elevating footrests. They are easy to attach and easy to elevate/lower, but they are little short when in the elevated position (you have to flip the actual footrest out of the way and let your foot hang off the edge). Doesn't fit in the trunk with the elevating footrests attached!

Strengths: easy to open. Good for short walks, easy to push, inexpensive

Depth1 Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg. Back Height2 Measured from the seat base to the top of the wheelchair back. Depends on how much upper back support is needed, and also affects freedom for the upper body to rotate. Rear Seat to Floor3 Measurement from the ground to the rear seat edge. Relative to the front seat-to-floor dimension, this determines the rearward slope ("dump" or "squeeze") of the wheelchair seat. Hanger Angle4 Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular. Seat Width5 Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant. Wheel Camber6 Angle of the wheel relative to the vertical. More camber improves stability and agility, but also limits ability to pass through narrow spaces. A typical daily wheelchair uses three degrees of camber. Front Seat to Floor7 Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Do not add the footrest clearance if the wheelchair will be foot-propelled. |
