It's nice
Reviewer: Ryan O. from Atlanta, GA (caregiver)
End User Desc: injury transport from building

Strengths: We have only had the chair for a few weeks, so it has not gotten a lot of use yet, but it seems durable.

Weaknesses: I would say the one major weakness would be the time it takes to adjust the foot rests. I was excited about this feature and was one of the reasons we bought this particular chair, but it is quite a pain.

Great product!!!
Reviewer: Cody O. from Jeffersonville, IN
End User Desc: Am completely satisfied with performance of this chair, only complaint is my legs are constantly hitting tabs that chair legs lock on to causing cuts

Strengths: Weight rating. Great price. Ease of use.

Weaknesses: Welded tabs that legs lock on need to be flat on inside or covered with rubber.

quaility product, substantial constrcution
Reviewer: John T. from Matthews, NC
End User Desc: Age 66, knee replacement candidate, surgery one year away, need assist for mobility from time to time, transport chair easy to use

Strengths: comfortable, easy to use, as described in online sales view, representative very helpful and paid attention to my requests

Weaknesses: foot rests need more strength to them, perhaps a web bracket to the underside. they are too easy to rotate and probably need some style of bushing. perhaps a sliding cam lock where bracket attaches to chair.

Very happy with the quality of this chair.
Reviewer: Carol J. from Alameda, CA (caregiver)
End User Desc: 63 year old head injury from 30 years ago who is 6'5" and weighs 260lbs who is current resident at a nursing home. The chair is utilized for trips ou

Strengths: Good quality, extra wide seat, heavy duty, easy to manipulate in and out of van.

Weaknesses: A more mobile user would not have the ability to move the chair because rear wheels are small. However, that is the feature that was most important to me in terms of the overall width of the chair.

Great support, comfortable ride
Reviewer: Donna B. from Jamestown, NC
End User Desc: 52, cancer patient, unable to walk or stand for long periods of time

Strengths: I expected a clunky piece of equipment and was pleasantly surprised to receive a nice-looking, easy to use, comfortable wheelchair. My caregivers are pleased with how easy it is to push and maneuver.

Weaknesses: Only weakness is that the footrests keep flipping down when I need them to be up to get in/out of chair.

Great transport chair and very comfortable.
Reviewer: Alexis M. from Richardson, TX
End User Desc: User is a 59-year-old female with a severe fracture of her right leg, preventing her from walking at all.

Strengths: Very comfortable, attractive (I chose the red color), sturdy, and a smooth ride.

Weaknesses: I lost the "hubcap" on the right back wheel within 24 hours of receiving the chair. It was just a small plastic cover, but I felt bad when I couldn't find it. Because it is a transport chair and not a large-wheeled chair, it is a little harder to maneuver by myself (however, I knew that would be the case before I purchased it). I would like the brakes to be easier to reach (maybe brake extenders on each side).

Easy to handle and manuever for an oversized person.
Reviewer: Rose P. from Seguin, TX (caregiver)
End User Desc: I purchased this transport wheelchair for my husband because of its weight and ease of use compared to his regular wheelchair.

Strengths: Durable, Size, Weight, Versatility.

Weaknesses: Front wheels need to be of solid rubber. Also the leg extensions seem to not hold securely and drop down to readily. Maybe various holes to adjust the height inplace of a squeeze bolt.

Seat Depth1
Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg.

Back Height2
Measured from the seat base to the top of the wheelchair back. Depends on how much upper back support is needed, and also affects freedom for the upper body to rotate.

Rear Seat to Floor3
Measurement from the ground to the rear seat edge. Relative to the front seat-to-floor dimension, this determines the rearward slope ("dump" or "squeeze") of the wheelchair seat.

Hanger Angle4
Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular.

Seat Width5
Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant.

Wheel Camber6
Angle of the wheel relative to the vertical. More camber improves stability and agility, but also limits ability to pass through narrow spaces. A typical daily wheelchair uses three degrees of camber.

Front Seat to Floor7
Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Do not add the footrest clearance if the wheelchair will be foot-propelled.
