End User Desc: I was looking for a narrow width chair in order to get through the narrow bathroom doors in our home. It also had to be strong enough for my weight.
Strengths: This is a very sturdy transport chair and is very easy to fold and put into the trunk of the car. A chair purchased from a different manufacturer is difficult to impossible to fold and is very flimsy. The quality and materials used is far superior to what I had. The brakes are much stronger and do not slip. I have the old chair upstairs for transfers from bed to bath to stairlift and use the Go-Kart for all other activities. I feel safer and more secure in this chair and will probably buy another for upstairs when finances allow it. Removable armrests are a must for me for transfers and are difficult to find. The armrests and legrests are easy to remove and put back.
Weaknesses: As of now, I find no weaknesses in this product. I am extremely satisfied and will recommend it to others.

End User Desc: I have a 10 year old son with CP who this chair was bought for. We use this chair in our home for his transport through out our home.
Strengths: I love the indented/removable armrests. Because the armrests are indented, I am able to get him up to his rimless sink in his bathroom to wash his hands as well as up to the kitchen table without having to transfer him into a kitchen chair.
Weaknesses: I am nervous about the foot plates. I'm afraid that they are bending downward from the weight of his feet. That is the only thing that I wish were a little more sturdier built.

Strengths: She really likes the support of the back of this Transport Chair and is able to sit for extended amounts of time when the foot rests are raised. The Caregiver appreciates the convenience and weight of this chair and finds it very easy to work with when loading and unloading.
Weaknesses: None at this time. It has not been used for much except sitting at the kitchen table with legs raised.

| Seat
Depth1 Measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of the knee, minus at least two inches. Some prefer more leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg. Back Height2 Measured from the seat base to the top of the wheelchair back. Depends on how much upper back support is needed, and also affects freedom for the upper body to rotate. Rear Seat to Floor3 Measurement from the ground to the rear seat edge. Relative to the front seat-to-floor dimension, this determines the rearward slope ("dump" or "squeeze") of the wheelchair seat. Hanger Angle4 Determines how far the toes extend away from the body, measured from the horizontal. A tighter angle allows the wheelchair to turn around in less space. Depends in part on ability of the knee to bend towards the perpendicular. Seat Width5 Determined by the widest point of the body from knee to hip, plus an inch to ensure room to move. Consider bulk of clothing, particularly a heavy winter coat, if relevant. Wheel Camber6 Angle of the wheel relative to the vertical. More camber improves stability and agility, but also limits ability to pass through narrow spaces. A typical daily wheelchair uses three degrees of camber. Front Seat to Floor7 Measure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Do not add the footrest clearance if the wheelchair will be foot-propelled. |
